Yeah, I know. Just like Macy’s.
I started the Christmas decorating on the day after Thanksgiving, since we had our Open House relatively early this year. As a result, I had the time to go a little over the top. Which, you may have guessed by now, is where I am most comfortable.
This is the view from the living room couch into our dining room.
We have a weird little nook off the end of our living room. I moved the lamppost to the corner, and decorated it. I’m particularly proud of this. Someone at our party suggested that I buy a child to pose as a Victorian Caroler. I’m thinking about it.
This is an old frame that we found in our garage when we moved in. To the house, not the garage. We don’t live in a garage, people.
We fitted the frame with a mirror, and a wreath for Christmas.
These little elves were my mother’s, from Avon or something. They are old, and cracked, and I love them. There used to be a third one, but we lost him in a tragic decapitation accident.
I added sparkly beads to our dining room chandelier.
I love the sparkly stuff. Obviously.
Lastly, here is our little boy, sleeping. You can practically see the sugar plums dancing in his head…
